Why Cape Remit?
Cape Remit brings with it a strong regulatory foundation in Canada and a clear focus on compliant, customer-centric money services. By welcoming Cape Remit into the Zeam group, we gain a regulated Canadian foothold in one of the world’s most respected financial jurisdictions, along with expanded remittance and payments capabilities, particularly across Central and North Africa.
What This Means for Zeam
This acquisition strengthens Zeam’s global platform through broader reach and deeper liquidity and routing options, while reinforcing our strategy of building locally compliant on- and off-ramps connected through a modern, interoperable financial network.
At Zeam, we don’t see “cross-border” as a special category of transaction. Value should move as effortlessly as information; securely, instantly, and at global scale. Cape Remit helps us accelerate that vision.
What Changes for Customers and Partners?
In the short term, it’s business as usual. Over time, customers and partners can expect:
- 10 new on- and off-ramps in Q1 2026, followed by a further 28 in Q2
- New settlement options, including bank EFTs and mobile wallets
- A brand-new Global Business Account for our business clients
We’re thrilled to welcome the Cape Remit team into Zeam and look forward to building the next chapter of modern, inclusive financial services together.
Stay tuned—this is just the beginning.
